You made your formula a little too long.

Your formula ... revised (shortened) ... produces the correct return:

=LEFT(F1,FIND("=",F1)-2)

Corrected typo's

I have a long list of words (see below) and in the next column i have

this
=LEFT(F1,LEN(F1)-FIND("=",F1)-2)
The result is in the second list below, as you can see it's not right.

No's
3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 18, 20, 22, 23 are in correct.

Any ideas what happening here?
