We need more information.

What kind of text are you trying to paste, a large amount of text into a
whole spreadsheet, or a small amount of text into a single cell?

How are you pasting? By selecting the text and clicking Edit-Copy,
Edit-Paste, or are you using keyboard shortcuts, or are your using Paste
Special?
