I have a pivotchart based on some financial data. From that I have created

pivottable/chart. However as the data is financial, the +/- values re
reverse to what I would expect (i.e. top 10 becomes bottom 10, etc) and as
such when plotting a simple bar chart, the chart appears to be upside down
as all the figures being plotted are negative.

Is there a way to invert the axis so that the chart appears "normal"
without
changing the original data? I've tried playing with the axis options with
no
success.

Format Axis/ Scale/ select "Values in reverse order"
should do it.
