Read the text file and parse it yourself.

When you find a value that looks like a formula (starts with an equal sign??),
you can process that string special.

Chip Pearson has some code at:

It looks to me like there would be one line to change:

Cells(RowNdx, ColNdx).Value = TempVal
becomes
Cells(RowNdx, ColNdx).Formula = TempVal

But be a little careful.

If your text strings contain commas:
=if(a1="",a1+3,a1^2)
You'll have to parse that as one string.
