Yes, the
Format Painter tool in
Microsoft Excel can be used to format multiple rows without having to hit the icon multiple times. Here's how:
- Select the cell or range of cells that contain the formatting you want to copy.
- Click on the Format Painter icon in the Home tab of the ribbon. Your cursor will change to a paintbrush.
- Click and drag your cursor over the cells or rows you want to apply the formatting to. The formatting will be applied to the selected cells or rows.
- To apply the same formatting to additional rows, double-click on the Format Painter icon instead of clicking it once. This will lock the Format Painter tool on, allowing you to apply the formatting to multiple rows without having to click the icon each time.
Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut for
Format Painter by selecting the cell or range of cells with the formatting you want to copy, pressing the "
Ctrl" key, and then pressing the "
C" key. Then, select the cells or rows you want to apply the formatting to, press the "
Ctrl" key, and then press the "
V" key. This will paste the formatting onto the selected cells or rows.
