To change the format of the date in the header from
1/15/2010 to
January 15, 2010, you can follow these steps:
- Double-click on the header to enter the header editing mode.
- Click on the "Design" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Header/Footer Elements" dropdown menu.
- Select "Date" from the list.
- Click on the "More Formats" button in the "Header/Footer Elements" dropdown menu.
- Select "Custom" from the list.
- In the "Type" field, enter "MMMM d, yyyy" (without the quotes).
- Click on the "OK" button to close the "Format Cells" dialog box.
- Click on the "OK" button to close the "Header/Footer Elements" dropdown menu.
Now the date in the header should be displayed in the format of
"January 15, 2010".
Alternatively, if you want to format the date as
15-Jan-2010, you can follow these steps:
- Double-click on the header to enter the header editing mode.
- Click on the "Design" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Header/Footer Elements" dropdown menu.
- Select "Date" from the list.
- Click on the "More Formats" button in the "Header/Footer Elements" dropdown menu.
- Select "Custom" from the list.
- In the "Type" field, enter "dd-mmm-yyyy" (without the quotes).
- Click on the "OK" button to close the "Format Cells" dialog box.
- Click on the "OK" button to close the "Header/Footer Elements" dropdown menu.
Now the date in the header should be displayed in the format of
"15-Jan-2010".
