Calculating Median Standard Deviation in Excel
1. Enter your data into a column in Excel.
- Example: A1:A10
2. Use the
MEDIAN function to find the median of your data.
- Example: =MEDIAN(A1:A10)
3. Use the
STDEV function to find the standard deviation of your data.
- Example: =STDEV(A1:A10)
4. Multiply the result of the
STDEV function by 1.2533 to get the median standard deviation.
- Example: If your STDEV result is in cell B1, you would enter "=B1*1.2533" into another cell to get the median standard deviation.
I hope that helps!
