Answer: How do I insert a break into a graph?
To insert a break into a graph in Microsoft Excel:
- Select the data range that you want to create a chart for.
- Go to the Insert tab in the ribbon and select the type of chart you want to create. For example, you can choose a line chart or a column chart.
- Once you have created the chart, right-click on the vertical axis (the one that shows the values) and select Format Axis from the drop-down menu.
- In the Format Axis pane that appears on the right-hand side of the screen, scroll down to the Axis Options section and look for the Breaks option.
- Check the box next to Axis Breaks to enable this feature.
- You can then choose the type of break you want to insert, such as a wavy line or a straight line.
- Adjust the settings for the break, such as the size and position, until it looks the way you want it to.
- Click Close to apply the changes to the chart.
