Thumbs up Answer: Why does the text in some of my cells turn blue?

It's possible that the blue text in your cells is due to conditional formatting. Conditional formatting allows you to automatically apply formatting to cells based on certain criteria.

To check if this is the case, select one of the blue cells and
  1. go to the "Home" tab in the Excel ribbon.
  2. Look for the "Conditional Formatting" button and click on it.
If there are any rules listed, they may be causing the blue text. You can either modify or delete the rule to remove the formatting.

If there are no conditional formatting rules, it's possible that the blue text is due to a font color setting. To check this, select one of the blue cells and
  1. go to the "Home" tab in the Excel ribbon.
  2. Look for the "Font Color" button and click on it.
If the blue color is selected, change it to black or another color of your choice.

If neither of these solutions work, it's possible that there is a glitch in Excel. Try closing and reopening the file, or even restarting your computer. If the issue persists, you may want to try copying the contents of the affected cells into new cells and deleting the original cells.
