Hi Steve,
Yes, you can definitely add a title to the legend in Excel XP. Here's how you can do it:
- Select the chart that you want to add a title to the legend for.
- Right-click on the legend and select "Format Legend" from the drop-down menu.
- In the "Format Legend" dialog box that appears, click on the "Legend Options" tab.
- Check the box next to "Show legend keys" if it's not already checked.
- In the "Legend Keys" section, you'll see a box labeled "Series name". This is where you can add your title.
- Click on the "Series name" box and type in the title that you want to appear in the legend.
- Click "OK" to close the "Format Legend" dialog box.
That's it! Your legend should now have a title explaining what the variables represent. You can repeat these steps for all of your figures without having to do any paintshop editing.
