Yes Macros is what I was thinking -either in that workbook or in you excel
somewhere

If you copy just that single cell to a new workbook does it still do it?
If you still can't sort it you can send me the file to look at:

I am using a worksheet that someone else set up. When I enter

a cell the format changes. I clicked "Undo" and then checked the

I cannot determined what is causing this to happen. The cell is not
