Spread Project Costs Over Months Using Bell Curve
I need help developing and understanding how to distribute project costs over time (i.e. by month). I would also like to change the distribution and skew of the costs. For example say the costs are spread over 8 months based on a normal distribution curve, I would like to:
one: change the number of months say from 8 to 12, using start and end dates/periods
two: change the skewness (I think this is the right terminology!) so that the project costs are 'front' loaded (i.e. skewed to the left) or 'back' loaded (i.e. skewed to the right).
Any assistance would be appreciated
I have attahced a file of what I have done so far:
Table 1: represents % spread of project cost over 1 to 60 periods (i.e. months) using a normal distribution NOTE due to file upload size I have deleted this section
Table 2: represents $ spread of project cost over 1 to 60 periods (i.e. months) using a normal distribution NOTE due to file upload size I have deleted this section
Table 3; is my attempt to 'skew' the spread of project costs by changing column A and B values and display them as barred/bell curve. NOTE I have deleted the bell curve due to file upload size.
Hope I have provided enough for someone to help.
Thanks
