It happens that Lynn McGuire formulated :
comp.lang.c++ is for C++ questions. Not apps
like Excel nor specific operating systems.

Correct! However, it's highly possible that someone there has had
similar issues using C++ DLLs with MS Office automation. Same may be
the case in a Classic VB forum where people have used C++ DLLs and had
similar issues. No harm asking...
