I have successfully used the following to create a dynamic link:

Try checking the INDIRECT function with ISERROR()...

=IF(ISERROR(INDIRECT("'"&$A$12&"'!A2")),"",HYPERLI NK(INDIRECT("'"&$A$12&"'! A2")))
