I can't duplicate what's happening to you on either 2007 or xl2003.
I hate worksheet embedded ActiveX control behaviour. It is so
unpredictable, especially wrt size.
On both versions I got dual images of the calendar when I zoomed the
sheet in and out.
I haven't tried this at all, but have you considered the -MS Date and
Time Picker control- - it just may be more predictable.
