Try these two statements instead...

FinalRow = ActiveSheet.Cells.Find(What:="*", SearchOrder:=xlRows, _
SearchDirection:=xlPrevious).Row

FinalColumn = ActiveSheet.Cells.Find(What:="*", SearchOrder:=xlByColumns, _
SearchDirection:=xlPrevious).Column
