Default Hireing an excell programmer

If it's a one-time (i.e. temp) job, contact Manpower or any other temp
agency.

But keep in mind that anyone who can turn on a computer can call themselves
an Excel programmer.

Hopefully, good temp agencies are more discriminating; after all, they have
their reputation to consider. But I have encountered my share of
"incompetent" contractors through temp agencies over the years.

Knowledgable people in this forum should be able to help you learn what
qualifications to look for. For starters, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en.../mbc.aspx#tab2 .

However, you might also keep in mind the purpose of the Excel spreadsheet(s)
that you expect to be developed. Perhaps you really need a specialist
familiar with a particular field, e.g. bookkeeping. Excel competency might
be secondary; Excel certification might not be needed.
