Hi all, thanks so much for all your help!
I finally found the solution...

The reference "Microsoft Windows Common Controls 6.0" does exist but it
appears to be almost at the bottom of the list and not near the other
references that start with "Microsoft".
I found it by doing this:

Tools\References
Browse Button
Browse to and select the file mentioned by RBS
Then the Microsoft Windows Common Controls 6.0 all of a sudden revealed
its
location.
