Default Are links relative?

Hi Sean,

....Links won't have to be modified if you, say, cut and paste ...

What if one copies and pastes the workbooks?

Where I work, they have created a whole bunch of Excel worksheets (at least
20) that are linked to each other in both directions. Many worksheets are in
different folders. I want to copy the whole source folder to a different
location to make changes and tests. Afaik, the links in the new location keep
pointing to the right files in the corresponding folder in the new location.
So there is no need to update the links (as far as you include all the
worksheets).

I just wanted to make sure I was not dreaming.

Am I right?

Thank you for your answer. I appreciate.

If you lose a link, go to Edit - Links, find the broken link, click Change
Source... and find where it has moved to...

Hi,
When two or more workbooks that are linked together are moved to a different
directory, will the links have to be modified if the folder structure is kept
the same?

If not, that will save me a lot of work. I would like an expert advice.

Thanks.
