Brian,

Lets say that sheet1 cell a1 contains (hours) 45 and that sheet2 cell
a2 contains (expenses) 958

In sheet 3 all you need to do is "point" it at the relevent cells in
sheets one and two

=+sheet1!a1 will return the value of cell a1 in sheet one (45)
=+sheet2!a2 will return the value 958
