Default Macro to Write and delete value in registry

Hi Jitendra

Excel macros are simply good old VB6, so google VB6 registry for tons of
solutions, like
http://www.codeguru.com/vb/gen/vb_sy...le.php/c12067/
http://www.devx.com/vb2themax/Tip/19136

Keep in mind that altering security settings by code is considered really
bad practice ;-)

HTH. Best wishes Harald

Dear All,

I need two macros which will run on workbook_open and workbook_beforeclose
events.

The first macro which will run on workbook open should search the windows
registry at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Commo n" for a key
called "security" and create a key called "Security" under the key
"Common"
and then it should add a "Dword" with value as "00000001".

The second macro should undo the changes done by the first Macro i.e. It
should delete the key and Dword created by the first Macro.

Waiting for an urgent response...

Thanks a lot in advance,
