Default REFEDIT.DLL???

I am still not sure what happened here but ran Office Updates and the
problem no longer exists. Go figure...

Thanks

I have an AddIn I developed a couple years ago in Office 2000 on an XP Pro
machine. I am currently using Office 2003 on an XP Pro machine and have
been since it came out. Nothing has changed in the AddIn for a long while,
it is very useful as it is; and used almost daily. The AddIn contains one
class module, four regular modules and five user forms. The user forms make
extensive use of the RefEdit control. Now, out the blue, the AddIn will not
function giving reference errors ( references haven't changed and remain
intact ) then highlighting 'Option Explicit' - (HUH?). Oftentimes selection
of the AddIn from the addins form begins loading of ArcGIS; which has been
resident on my machine for three years. And a host of other wierd S***. The
AddIn works perfectly on all other machines. Additionally, trying to add
RefEdit control to a new form gives 'Element Not Found Error'.

I have uninstalled and re-installed Office numerous times but it still
will not work. It's making me crazy (er). Any ideas?

TIA
