Default VSTO, with Visual Studio Express Editions.

Primarily I'm speaking in general term, not anything specific to Excel. I
have always felt that VSTO was something of a hack job. Packaging, setup,
and deployment, which is overly complicated in VS2005, is said to be much
better in 2008.

Chip,

What is better about VS 2008? I've used 2005 just a bit. Are you talking
specifically about working with Excel, or more general?

I don't believe VSTO will work with the Express Edition of VS2005. For
what it is worth, I would wait until VS2008 comes out. It is much better
in many respects.

Hi,

Was interested in trying VSTO. Is it possible to run the tools with
the Express Editions of Visual Studion? Thanks in advance. Derek
