Updating Macro File
I have created a group of macros for my workgroup and created a table for
each user within the file that enables them to assign their own preferred
hotkeys by simply adding the corresponding letter. An Auto_Open macro
determines the username, and assigns the hotkeys according to their table.
My motivation for this strategy was to avoid maintaining multiple files to
preserve each user's idiosyncratic hotkey assignments, but it has occurred to
me that, while an improvement, users will still need to come to me to make
changes to their assignments, since, when I add a new macro and post the new
version to the network, it will contain all of their previously selected
choices, rather than a "live" version they may have edited.
Does anyone have a suggestion for how I might "have my cake and eat it too"?
Thank you.
