Yes, and in anticipation of one more question, it is done with fonts,
and there are different kinds of barcodes. You will find some links

You should be able to obtain free fonts without difficulty, or
if you prefer you can pay for them, the choice is entirely up to you.
I find it hard to believe that coding a lined barcode font from a
specification is difficult.
