Try removing the shift key from the shortcut.

If you hold the shift down while opening a workbook, the auto_open and
workbook_open procedures won't run. When the shift key is part of the
shortcut
key combination, it can confuse excel enough to stop the macro that's
running.

Excel XP & Win XP
I took a macro to loop through all the files in a folder from Debra's
site:
http://www.contextures.com/xlfaqMac.html#LoopBooks

I tested it without any changes and it worked fine.

I assigned a key combination, Ctrl-Shift-P, and then Ctrl-Shift-B, in
turn,
to the macro. When I ran the macro from the key combination, the macro
ran
but would not proceed beyond opening the first file. No error messages.
Nothing.

What is happening?

Thanks for your time. Otto
