Long time with no reply to what appears to be a relatively easy solution:

In B1 (or another unused cell on row 1) put this formula:
=IF(ISNA(MATCH(A1,C$1:C$20,0)),"Unused","")

and fill the formula down to B70. The unused names will be indicated.
