Two more problems with Excel 2007
Hi There,
The first problem is a bug (which wasn't there in previous versions):
- If you create an XY scatter chart with lines between points (and no
markers on the points) and change the minimum scale for Ys to Y1, make the X
axis invisible (no line, no fill), and if you have two points (X1, Y1) and
(X2, Y1), with a line in between, the line is not visible. It was with the
previous versions (97 - 2003).
The second is another way they found to make our life worse:
- When you were on a chart, it used to be easy to modify the properties of
an object (series, axis, ...): a double click, and there you were, a box
appeared. Very intuitive. It looks like the mice union complained against the
double click, and requested that it should be only a right click affair. Now
you need three steps: click on the object (if you can, when you have a series
with no markers, it takes minutes to select a series), then right click, then
go to format. May be next time, the mice union will ask that we use only the
keyboard.
No problem, I can wait until 2009, if that's the time when we have a decent
version to work with. Right now, I'm just making things compatible using 100s
of turnarounds, so that our few advanturous users who want to switch to the
2007 can work.
I'm totally disappointed. Not talking about bugs we reported during the beta
that are still unsolved.
