checkbox calculation
Check boxes return True/False Values.
You would have to use a IF function to see if the box is checked.
A1 item cost
A2 checkbox linked cell
=IF(A2=TRUE,A1," ") ,- this would go in the box where you have the cost
of the item
Then just have your sub total sum all the cost cells

I would like to have a checkbox perform an if calculation. For instance if a
checkbox is checked then I would like it to look to multiple columns to the
right and if in the next column to the right has a checkbox checked then add
a number that is at the bottom of the column. I am using both control toolbox
checkboxes and forms toolboxes. (i could use one other other if that's what I
need to do)
Im going to checkmark the chkbox in column d, if there is a chkmark in colum
e then add $399. to the total, if there is a chkmark in the checkbox in the
cell to the right (f) then add 399. to that total too. ect. ect.
a b c d e
f g
1st name last name registered paid class 1 class 2
ect ----
chkbox chkbox
chkbox chkbox
Cost of tuition Total (?) $399.00
$399.00 $279.00
Thanks for looking at this for me.
