Default Combo Box Properties

Dan,
There are two kinds of controls you can put on a sheet.
You have the other kind. <g
The one you have is from the "control tool box".
The one your instructions refer to is from the "Forms" toolbar.
Both are available from the "View" menu.

To set the properties of the current combobox, right-click it and
select "properties". That will display a long list of items that I
will make no attempt to explain. You can click/select any of the
properties (on the left side), press the F1 key and get a pretty
good explanation.

The controls from the Forms toolbar are the ones I prefer to use
on a sheet.

I am trying to follow an example of how to use combo boxes from a web site.
After creating the combo box on my spreadsheet it says to right-click; and
from the shortcut menu that appears, select Format Control. Then select the
Control tab.
I right click my combo box (I am still in design mode) and select Format
Control and a dialog box comes up but there is no Control tab. The only
tabs I have a Size, Protection, Properties, and Web.
Am I doing something wrong? I am on Excel 2003 SP2
