Default Active X log in

Hi there Arne,

Ok, Bloomberg helpdesk is about as useful as a chocolate teapot or a glass
hammer. Ignore everything they say - they are rubbish.

Now, get onto your Bloomberg Account Manager and get him/her to help. I'm
afraid that I don't have the time to sort out all of the issues that you are
facing, bit for $1500 per screen per month Bloomberg ought to help you.

Good luck.

Hello John! I am very limited knowledge of this (I really dont know what
Active X is..). I found an Active X folder in the folder where I keep the
Bloomberg. However there were just a bunch of .dll files and none had names
that said anything about login. Since I am no programmer I would need a
document that guides me through how to do it. Active X is no requirement for
me, whatever is reliable works (ie not SendKeys). The Bloomberg helpdesk
offers no support on this whatsoever (in fact they said that you could not
login to Bloomberg using macro which is not true, they have even less
knowledge of this than me although I (my firm) are paying them top dollars
for their service. Any help always appreciated! Thanks!

Have you looked at the Bloomberg ActiveX control? That will avoid having to
log onto the Bloomberg terminal. There are samples of code in the bloomberg
directory on the PC that has Bloomberg installed.

Or try the Data License or phat pipe??

Hi!
Every night I have a macro that is supposed to run and open and login
to a program (the Bloomberg professional) and download some data. My
problem is the log in process from my macro. Now I use SendKeys but
that seems VERY unreliable. Does anyone have any links with code that
shows how to use some better techniques e.g. Active X to log in to a
program?

Any help appreciated! Thanks a lot in advance!
