Default how to set the value of a cell from another cell
His answer is not irrelevant. You cannot (without code) change the
value of one cell from within another cell, this is a fairly well
recognized situation. The best you can do is you set A2's value to be
contingent upon A1's value as Ardus has politely tried to show. You
could also have a little respect for people who try to help you for
free.
