Default printing text in autoshapes

You might have better luck in group that supports Word. This one is for
Excel.

I inherited a flowchart-like graphic that is used in pieces in various
documents. It uses rectangular autoshapes with text as well as the

Flowchart
document shape with a text box.

In Word 2000, for some doucments it prints empty -- just the shapes, no

text.
I can see the text on screen and in print preview, but it doesn't print.

A
colleague can't even see the text on screen.

I recreated the graphic in PowerPoint, then pasted it into Word. It

prints
fine from PowerPoint, but comes up empty in Word (altho this newer graphic
was visible on screen for my colleague).

It prints properly in Word 2003, but most of these documents won't open in
word 2003 (I get a message telling me to open file with text recovery, but
that doesn't work)

Any ideas?

Thank you
