JJ: Sounds like you don't trust your client. If this may become a
legal matter, also keep a copy of the printout that Bryan suggested and
mail it to yourself. Don't open the letter, rather keep it in a safe
place. Should you ever need it in court, the postmark will verify the
condition of the data on the date you mailed it.
Excel was never designed to be "Secure" and as such there is no sure
way to protect data against undesired editing.
