You can unlock the cells that you want users to type in, then protect
the worksheet.

To unprotect cells:
Select the cells
Choose FormatCells
On the Protection tab, remove the check mark from Locked
Click OK

To protect the worksheet, choose ToolsProtectionProtect Worksheet.
