Hi David,
View | Toolbars | Customize | Commands | Select 'Tools' category
Scroll through the Commands window | Drag the 'Record New Macro' command to
a toolbar of your choice.

Forget the last Reply.
I (believe) I use to be able to start "recording a macro" from a button.
I
thought it was on the "stop record" toolbar. As I rember it, it would be
a
blue round circle that, when clicked it would start recording a macro ( so
that I did not have to resort to ToolsMacroRecord Macro) and then it
would
turn to a blue square that is the "Stop Record".
The simple question is...
Is there a way to start recording a macro from a button and if so how?
Sorry for the confusion.
When I add the toolbar now, the blue circle is grayed out.

Thanks for the response. However I either did not do a good job of
explaining the problem (terminology?) or I don't understand your answer.
I like to have the "stop record" toolbar that includes the two buttons
"Relative Reference" and the "Record Macro Button" displayed.
When I try to add it by Tools, Customize, choose first tab (toolbars),
stop
recording
get out of customize by close or X... It adds it, but the "Record Macro
is
grayed out. This is what I have been doing before. It seems to simple.
Am I
wording my question wrong or;
Do I not understand your answer or not able to properly implement it.
I read it is as;
ToolsMacroRecord Macro 'starting the macro recorder, then
ToolsCustomizeToolbars"StopRecording"
? Where do I press the square stop button? From Menu Bar, it removes
it
and fromToolsRecord MacroStop Recording it removes the toolbar.
Again, Thanks

get out of customizze
press the square stop record button, not the the [x] that you did

A while back I lost my macro record button. When I added the "Stop
Recording" toolbar back the record button is grayed out. I have
tried many
times to get it back but nothing. Its getting old going through the
menu to
record a macro.
What to I do to get it back?
Thanks for any help.
