Default Set as read only based on user name.

How secure do you need the file? Remember, all a user has to do is
Disable Macros <before opening your workbook and your macro is dead.
If your user is savvy enough to know how to change the user name, they
probably know enough to disable macros.

You can protect workbooks/worksheets without a password that will help
prevent accidental changes. However, if someone is intent on gaining
access, there is not a lot you can do to stop them. Excel is not meant
to be 'secure'.

Good Luck.
