For security changes to take effect you need to shut excel doown and re-open
it. If the employee chose disable macros then you just need to shut that
spreadsheet down and reopen it then choos enable when asked...

I transferred a macro that we use to run a daily report to another
computer.
We have to modify the VB code to change the date on the report, each
day. After installing the macro, it ran the first day, but when the new
report came, and I tried to modify the macro, by the Step Into menu
choice, I get "The macros in this project are disabled" I changed the
security level to Medium, but I still can't open the macro to make the
modification. And when my employee opens any other Excel file they get
the "Enable Macros, Disable Macros, Cancel".
I am not sure of the relationship between opening Excel files and the
aforementioned menu choice, and the ability to open and modify the
macro I installed.
Any help is appreciated.
