The problem is also related to monitor, video driver, and screen settings. Too
complicated for me to keep track of.

Hi Guys,
This seems to be a recent problem since I dowloaded and installed Office
Family updates - unfortunately I can't remember which one. A colleague loaded
my spreadsheet (which on my laptop has truncated text on the Y axis title)
onto his PC and it displayed properly. We both have Office Professional 2002
but he hasn't bothered to download updates. The adage is if it ain't broke -
don't fix it!

Thanks, amazing how many bugs are in the charts.

Unfortunately Excel does not allow a lot of control over the axis titles. I
would suggest deleting the chart generated title and use a text box from the
drawing toolbar in its place. Text boxes offer much more flexibility.

I created a chart in Excel 2003. I added an axis title call "Ports Market
Share". Excel has chosen to display only "Ports Market Sha". I can't find
any way to control the size of the text box as Excel has control. Modifing
the Font sizes does not fix the problem as the axis title text box just
resizes to fit "Ports Market Sha". Changing the text causes the same issue
as the last two letters are not displayed.
