hold down the shift key when you select <edit and the "copy" command becomes
"copy as picture."
you can then paste this and it wont change.
additionally, you can select each series on the chart.
click on the formula bar and press F9 This changes the series to be a value
array.

It depends on what you want to do later.

That is a copy that is disconnected from its source data- my workbook
routines are set up so that the sources will change with a drop down list so
a snapshot of the chart is needed.
