Default grouping

Then you should ungroup your cells before you sort again. Subtotals,
grouping/outline, and autofilters are really designed for temporary use.

Are you talking about merged cells? Or are you talking about

how exactly does this grouping function work? does it only group

those
specific cells?

the reason i ask is that i have cells grouped, but now i want to sort

them.
and the grouping doesn't move with the data, it just stays. is there

a
way i
can get the grouping to follow the data as it is sorted?

thanks,
steve
