Default FIND in only one column

Can you post the actual code you tried and define "does not seem to
work". Did you get an error or was it just not found?

You could try adapting the example from Help.

With Worksheets(1).Range("a:a")
Set c = .Find(2, lookin:=xlValues)
If Not c Is Nothing Then
firstAddress = c.Address
Do
c.Value = 5
Set c = .FindNext(c)
Loop While Not c Is Nothing And c.Address < firstAddress
End If
End With
