Has anyone had any experience of command buttons 'disappearing' as macro
code is running (updating a set of pivot tables on the same sheet as the
button, before setting the 'disappearing button' caption to reflect the pivot
page items), leading to 'object has been deleted' or 'object has disconnected
from its client' errors?

This spreadsheet has worked fine for months, so any help in identifying what
may be causing this new behaviour will be massively appreciated.
