Is it mandatory to have the filename PERSONAL.XLS ?

Store your macros in a file named PERSONAL.XLS. Save that file in your
XLSTART folder. From then on when you open Excel that workbook will be
opened also, but in a Hidden Window. The Macros will be listed when you
open Tools/Macros.
