Sounds like some settings or your registry got reset or something.

first open excel, then go to Tools=Macro=Security

On the first tab, set security to medium and on the second tab check the box
to trust installed addins and templates

Now restart excel and see if it works. If not, then perhaps your registry
was changed.

with excel closed, go to
Start = Run in the windows menu

Enter

Excel /regserver

and click OK


this should reregister Excel. If this doesn't get them loaded, then

in Excel, go to Tools=Addins and reselect them (unselect and reselect if
necessary).
