Your default new workbook is stored as a Template named BOOK.XLT in your
XLSTART folder?

The settings under ToolsOptionsGeneral is Tahoma 8 point?

The settings under FormatStyleNormal is Tahoma 8 point?

With this configuration you should have no problems.
