If you have extracted Directory.xla to your Office\Library folder and loaded
it through ToolsAdd-ins you should see TM just to the right of Help on the
menu.
Re-trace.....perhaps you missed a step.
With Excel closed..........
1. Download the ZIP file from Tushar's site.
2. Extract to Libray
3. Open Excel and go to ToolsAdd-ins.
4. Find "Directory"(no quotes) and checkmark the option box and OK.

One method to pull directly to Excel is to use Tushar Mehta's Excel Add-in.
This allows filtering and sorting once you have the data in Excel.
http://www.tushar-mehta.com/ scroll down to Add-insDirectory Listing.
Download the ZIP file and un-zip to your Office\Library folder.
Go to ToolsAdd-ins and checkmark Tushar's add-in.
TM will show up on your Worksheet Menu Bar.
Click it and browse to the folder of songs.
