Default Solver Macro quit working

If you are willing to buy the Solver upgrade well and good. If not, you
might want to check if you installed some kind of an Office Service Pack
recently. I don't recall which exactly, but some SP caused Solver to
stop working and required a fix that was available from either Frontline
or from MS itself. I realize this all sounds rather vague, but I'm sure
you will find more if you search support.microsoft.com or the google.com
archives of the Excel newsgroups.

In article ,
says...
We have a solver macro which used to work properly. Recently this macro
stopped functioning on all PCs. After doing a search in the kb, I found this
kb article which states that the resolution is to upgrade to the full version
solver sold by Frontline systems

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;819033

I did download a copy of the solver trial from Frontline Systems and the
macro started to work again!!! We need to apply this fix to many client PCs
and I am not sure what caused the problem since nothing changed in the macro
and we tried running the macro on different Excel versions with the same
result (nothing happens when you click the macro button).

Your help is greatly appreciated.
