Default Open Office Kills my secrets !

K Sampath - Excel News wrote:

Dear Anyone !

When you open any Excel file or XLAs in Open Office Org, all the
Macros are visible to anyone despite protecting the VBA project or
the Workbook. Thus many developers's painstaking efforts are made
open to anyone wanting to see them in Open Office. Is there any way
to prevent Open Office from opening up the Macro projects ?

The only saving grace is that if the file itself is protected by
password, Open Office is unable to open the file.

I would be grateful for any suggestions

Microsoft Excel was *never* designed with a really solid security model
in mind. Any password protection for macros can easily be /hacked/ with
code that is posted almost weekly in this newsgroup. So I don't even
need Open Office to see your macros.

Anyway, why hide your macros? Is that to hide how bad they are
programmed? ;-)

If it has an "X" in the name, it must be Linux?
Please don't thank me in advance. Thank me afterwards if it works or
hit me in the face if it doesn't. ;-)
