More details on the suggested solution:
When you do the Save As the window has a Tools pull-down menu on the menu
bar for that window. Select the general options option. Set a password and
click the "Read Only" check box. When someone opens the sheet they will get a
window for a password or they can open "read only". Once open they can save
it anywhere they want but NOT overtop the original.

Save the document as read only. Then they have to know what they are doing
before they can save over the top of it.

Anyone know how to protect the workbook from someone SAVING changes they may
have made? The workbook needs to be accessible for others to run various
scenarios, but should not be saved over the "original" generated by
myself...Anyway to do this without getting IT involved?

ANY suggestions would be much appreciated!!!! :)
